My sister and I stayed at Seadust for 1 week. We were looking for rest and relaxation and we got it! Our room was very spacious with a balcony for us to enjoy. The rooms were super clean but could use some updating. The service everywhere was excellent! We ate at the buffet every morning and had so many choices from fresh fruit, breads, eggs, etc. There were always staff pouring coffee and cleaning up continually. At the pool there were lots of chairs available. I can't say enough about the poolside staff always keeping the area clean. Armando and David were very attentive and made sure we had a Miami Vice drink whenever we wanted one. The only downside to the pool were the handrails. They should be positioned right to the pool deck for those with some mobility issues. We ate at Big Ben Wine and Grill, Samurai x 2, Manhattan, Florencio x 2, and Grab and Go x 2 . Kudos to Oswaldo and Jonathan at Florencia, Roberto at Manhattan, Alberto at Big Ben and Josue at Samurai for being so attentive and welcoming. Leticia in housekeeping kept our room clean every day and Enrique at front entrance was very helpful. Big shout out to Marcos in the Lobby Bar. His kind, cheery personality created an after supper ritual for us to go to the lobby for a glass of wine. It was a great vacation with lots of great staff and delicious food! Loved it!

For the money, I think it's good value. The staff do their best when they can, but it all seems a bit unconnected sometimes among them all. It's definitely a family resort, so getting a drink after 11 is only in your room for an additional fee. And getting down to the beach at night is sadly not allowed. I dodged the hard VIP upsell (watch out for 'free' acquarium tickets), they almost got me though but I saw it coming. That can be annoying and ruins an otherwise great holiday. The food can be both great and average, with portion sizes varying wildly. We re-ordered the lasagne at the Italian restaurant and it came come out with triple the size the 2nd time The pool side BBQ was actually amazing and it's great having pizza/burgers available all day right there too. Overall food was good and nobody was sick. It's a mid-range resort for a decent price so, in that, I'd say it's worth it.

This hotel is in a great location with direct access to the beach, and the pools are well distributed throughout the property. The overall facilities are very well designed and maintained. The food is delicious, and the staff are extremely friendly, which has made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Before coming here, we stayed at Xcaret for three nights, which is a newer resort with very modern and flawless facilities. Compared to that, this hotel is an older property, so you can see some signs of age. However, after reading some reviews beforehand, we were a bit concerned—but once we arrived, we realized there was nothing to worry about at all. It is much better than expected. The restaurants on the first floor look newly renovated and are beautifully designed. With continued investment in the facilities, this hotel has great potential to become even better.

Checking out today and it was an amazing experience. While the resort could use a bit of TLC, the service and food were great. The servers at the beach Armando and David were excellent!!! They definitely love their job and know how to make you feel at home. Their surprise drinks were well appreciated. We would come again just to see them!

My family visited for the Christmas holiday and had an enjoyable stay. Pros and cons below - Pros - * The open air lobby is welcoming and hits you that you’re in paradise * The AC in our room worked great. Some reviews noted AC issues but I was comfortable in our room or even cold at times with controls and a ceiling fan in room. * We ate at each restaurant for dinner and had great food each night. * The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had exceptional service from Rigoberto at the Manhattan restaurant which led us to return each morning of our stay. He made our breakfasts enjoyable and recommended local specialties which was an extra service above and beyond that we appreciated. He was great interacting with our son and making sure we were happy with our meals. * The rooms are extremely spacious with ample storage space to unpack belongings for the whole family. * We didn’t have any issue finding chairs by the pools. * The resort had holiday entertainment for the kids and pictures with Santa * Bottled water is provided along with filtered water stations on each floor. Cons - * The hotel is dated and worn in spots BUT we saw workers updating different areas of the hotel every day we were here, even Christmas & Christmas Eve so I guess this comment is a pro and con. Updates are to be expected, it’s not logical to shut down the business to do everything at once. * The restaurant times are so off and inconsistent making lunch tricky. The buffet is closed to turn over breakfast to lunch from 1130-1. This switch again is understandable but leaves grab and go station and the outdoor grill as your option that only had burgers, pizza, pineapple, and fries. That was fine for a day or two but got old over the stay. We weren’t as flexible with timing as we have a little with a nap schedule. * The bathroom shower leaves a puddle of water under the sink. It’s a design issue where the water drips down the glass door and leaks out. There is a drain outside the shower but we found we still had a puddle. This left a slippery floor which was dangerous for our toddler. Simple fix was to put an extra towel or two down. Overall it was a good family resort. The pools, entertainment, and amenities seem to be best for families with kids age 4-10 in my opinion. I really want to make sure I did a review because other more recent reviews had me seriously considering our upcoming trip. I’m glad we stuck with it and stayed at the Seadust.

The staff here are awesome very friendly and professional they go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your vacation. My wife has gluten allergies so each of the restaurant made sure they have something for her to eat or an option that is gluten free. My boys 7 and 4 enjoyed the waterpark and I enjoyed walking at the beach. It is a beachfront hotel.

We had a great time in experience with our toddler here. The food is by far the best tasting out of any resort we’ve been to, it’s very clean even though the rooms might be a little bit dated. They do try hard. The entertainment team was fun. The kids club was great and the kids area was perfect for the littles. Shout out to Frida! We had the ocean view two beds, absolutely gorgeous views, can’t beat it. Plenty of restaurant options and the buffet was open nearly all day except for a short break while they switched from breakfast to lunch. All the staff was super friendly. Tub on the balcony was awesome.
